For others, using products with kratom became a gateway to using products with synthetic 7-OH. Despite their dangers, kratom products remain legal in most states, including California. Some advocates spoke for natural kratom at a hearing last month on Senate Bill 299, which would ban synthetic kratom and sales of natural kratom to minors.
